Michael has always loved to build things. Spending countless hours building with LEGO blocks, building tree forts in the woods, and woodworking projects were some of the many things he did growing up.
And his love to build never stopped. After seeing a need for high quality, American-made kitchen furniture and accessories, he started Heirloom Products®.

The Ascent Magnetic Knife Holder is a great product! Along with being American Made, I found the holder to be well made. With the beauty of the wood adding to its value. The Double Sided Magnetic Option is outstanding and the magnets are very strong. The thickness of the holder allows for the correct method of both removing the knives from and the placing of the knives on the holder. Even with my big hands I can easily twist the knife onto its spine for either the removing or placing the knife back on the holder. I can accomplish this without my hand contacting the knife handles on the opposite side of the block.
Overall i am very happy with the customer support, ease of ordering and my purchase .
I have had my 2″ master chef board for almost a year now, and I cannot say enough good things about it. IT has been the best cutting board I have owned. I admittedly hard on it, even a little abusive, and it has held up incredibly well. It has never damaged a knife edge, and in fact, they stay sharper longer, because quality cutting boards do that for your knife….. I would not hesitate to buy another one if and when needed. Its big, its heavy, and it will probably outlast me ……. sounds like the perfect board !!!
My wife and I are so glad we came across Heirloom Products’ spice racks. It’s the perfect addition to our kitchen. We searched countless other websites trying to find “the one,” but the styles and sizing never felt like they truly belonged in our space.
After discovering Heirloom Products, we emailed the owner, Michael, to ask whether one of their existing models could be customized with added height and an extra level to fit all our spices. He gladly offered to build a new version that matched our specifications.
The wood is beautiful with solid craftsmanship and the rack looks fantastic in our kitchen—adding both functionality and convenience. We’ll look forward to considering Heirloom for more racks and wood products in the future.
I’m really happy with my 16″ magnetic knife holder. It looks great, keeps my knives within reach, and saves a lot of space in my kitchen. Worth every penny. Great customer service, too.
