Beautiful stand! Very strong, stable, and low profile with a tiny footprint. The rich walnut grain and color are gorgeous, and the wood is nicely oiled so it should resist warping in dry or hot conditions. I assembled the stand in under 10 minutes, and it took that long only because I installed the wrong upright first, so the notch faced toward the top, instead of down (to hook into the passed-through second upright). The video tutorial clearly shows the correct assembly, but it might be worth mentioning “Make sure you start with the correct upright …”. Also the dowels took a bit of pounding to wedge into the holes, but I slid the rubber mallet inside a ragg wool sock, to provide a bit more cushioning and prevent splitting the wood. My uprights arrived with the adjustable feet already screwed in. I love my new Berkey stand, and I am so happy to purchase a beautifully made-in-America product … and to reclaim all that counter space, too!
